Spider Girl Make Up Tutorial - Halloween

I couldn't believe how many repins on pinterest I was getting for the Spider Girl Make Up Tutorial I did for my other blog! Honestly, this makes me so happy that people liked that post! So I'll be re-posting it here and I think I should do more of the fun make up posts! Sadly, I'm not that great with make up but I think I can get kind of creative for Halloween since there's no "right" way to do it.. or is there?

If you have any suggestions on what other make up tutorial I should try, leave a comment and let me know. I'll see what I can do!

Fact: Spider Girl and Spider Woman are two different heroes.

I wanted to go cheap with make up (since we all know how make up is expensive) and I didn't want to just buy Halloween make up, I used what I had. I actually had this make up for last Halloween when I was Poison Ivy.

Let's start!

1. Red Make Up Pencil (I used a red lip liner)
2. Black Eye Liner (This is what I normally use for eyeliner)
3. Regular Make Up
4. Tissue & Makeup Napkin Remover

I was in a rush so I couldn't take as many photos as I want, but I tried my best!
I used my phone to take photos :)

1. I put on my foundation on before I started.

2. Figure out the eye shape with your red pencil.

3. Color in with Red Pencil - if you mess up, don't worry! That's what the make up napkin remover is for. Just wipe and dry!

4. Outline "eye" area with Black Eye Liner.

5. Draw long black lines for the webs. Make them go outward. Thicken edges towards your hair line.  I added the black lines then went back and thicken them.

6. Add your normal make up and eyelashes!

BONUS: I heard if you put on translucent powder the make up will stay on! I didn't buy any so I had to avoid touching my face! But the make up stayed on the whole night! I do advice getting translucent powder and brush it on your face.

Have fun! I had a blast doing this! I think it took about 40 minutes or less, but plan accordingly!

FRESH Sugar Lip Treatment

My cousin gave me this lovely Lip Treatment as a gift last year and I absolutely loved it! Sadly it costs about $22 for just this one product. I would say, it's a treat. So I think I'll get it once in a while. It slides on and feels amazing on your lips. I'm not sure how to explain it but it's just heavenly. The best "chap stick" I've ever tried! I haven't tried any of the shades, but I think the clear is just perfect. I recommend this to everyone!

Inspire Yourself

If you're a handmade small business owner like me, you'll find it hard to get inspiration at times. I love getting my inspiration by exploring instagram, checking out pinterest, and looking at magazines. I thought it was time to finally change my castle wallpaper on my monitor to a collage of things I enjoy to inspire me to work harder for the things I want.

I definitely would print these photos out and pin it on a board but I just don't have a printer at the moment! So my wallpaper will just have to do. How do you inspire yourself?

Back to School

I'm pretty excited to use this backpack for the Fall.. Actually, I probably won't really need a backpack since I'm taking a graphic design class and a hands on art class, but I'm sure I'll be lugging around some snacks and my Ipad to keep me company. I got this backpack spontaneously from Forever 21, it's called Laser Cut Faux Leather Backpack. This backpack definitely matches most of my clothes so it was a good pick! I've used it the past weekends as a sleep over bag and surprisingly it can carry a lot!  Faux Leather is technically waterproof but not in the areas where the zippers are, so hopefully this won't be a problem. If anything, I usually wear my backpack under my huge jacket if it rains.

I really love shopping at Forever 21. I know I know, people say the clothes are cheap but style also changes all the time so that's not a problem to me. I've kind of grown up to be more of a quantity person than a quality person for clothes. Don't get me wrong I love quality items, but I guess it just depends for what product. Most of my purses are from Forever 21 and I love them! Now... I think I'm going to need some matching shoes... Oh the horror of being a girl!

Marc Jacobs Daisy Fragrances

I'm not much of a girly girl, but I'm definitely leaning towards it the more I hang out with my girl friends! We've recently went shopping for clothes and perfumes. Something I don't do too often, except the clothes thing. Anyways I ended up grabbing Marc Jacobs fragrances. The problem was that I couldn't figure out which one I wanted so I purchased the roller balls. They all smell great but slightly different from one another. Since I love the flowery smell, I didn't mind which one to get.

Sadly, I don't think these last long. I'm not sure if it's because I'm "rolling" the fragrances on me instead of spraying it on, or it's because of the actual product. I even followed the steps of putting on lotion before applying the fragrance. (http://thechrisellefactor.com/2014/07/make-perfume-last/) Chrissle Lim wrote a blog post on how to make the fragrance scent last, so I had to read it. It was interesting how she wrote which type of fragrance lasts longer than others. I'm guessing Daisy scents doesn't last long because these lovely fragrances are Toilette, it will last 2-3 hours, but it seems like they last 1 hour. Sometimes 30 min.

It's a great thing I got the roller because I could apply it where ever I am, but it's a bit of a hassle. None the less, I love the smell and I can't wait to explore what else is out there. If you have a favorite, please let me know about your fragrance because then I will know how you smell (not spooky at all..)
